Oprah Live

This morning was the taping of the show. It aired live in Chicago so I have not seen the show yet. I will have to wait until 11 pm tonight to see it. During the taping they showed the previously recorded footage of the party and the landscaped balconies on a big screen, so I did see that.

My daughter took these photos off the tv this morning.
Oprah and I are like best friends now, not, lol. It was clear actual communication was not an option.

I noticed they did manage to include the footage of me trying to hide in the corner while Micheal Buble sang. There is nothing worse than seeing yourself on tv because it makes you realize how much weight you've gained.

, I thought of you and your mom as Micheal Buble belted out a couple more songs at the end of the show this morning.

Here's what I came home with. Another gift package like we got at the party so I can make more mojitos. And a gardening bag from Smith and Hawkins which I think will make an awesome KNITTING bag with all those pockets. Inside was a book from that cute Aussie gardening guy, sun hat and gloves, a gift card for gardening tools, seeds and a Lowes gift card for I think $150.
This is what happened at the party with Oprah.

  1. Anonymous4:27 PM

I'm watching it right now and recognized you right away! Looks like it was a lot of fun. I never watch Oprah but came home early today because I wasn't feeling well. I remembered your previous post so knew from the show description that this was "your" show.

  2. Did you get to have your balcony redone?

  3. Anonymous6:07 PM

holey moley. When is Oprah moving in next door to ME?

  4. Relax, I couldn't see your butt at all - you looked great, (cackling like the nutcase that i am - don't tell anyone tho, seriously, you were totally poised while running away from the camera (i'm cracking myself up here) - You were gorgeous, and everyone else looked like a tart anyway - i love you Hude!

  5. I totally saw you trying to sneak back to that couch! You really were about 8 inches from his microphone. It looked like a fun party. I might be inspired to have my own neighborhood party...

  6. What fun. The cocktail party sounded lovely.

  7. We have a roof top deck and a tiny balcony in the building next door (to the right on the tv screen) that is more enclosed. The balconies in our building are not so visible so she did not do many here. She only did the balconies that directly face the studios, everyone else got a lowes gift card to do it themselves.

  8. Oh, Judy, so good to know that you thought of my mom and me in the presence of MB! *sniff* I'm a little choked up here.
