Chicago

We have finally moved into our loft in the old Nabisco factory in the westloop of Chicago. We have the top floor unit on the other side of the tower. I have been unpacking for the last 5 days and have not even touched anything for the studio. We have so much to do before we are settled, I don't think my sewing machine is going to see the light of day for a long time. At least i have a computer and internet access again! I felt kind of guiltly trying to check my email from the Apple store computers while we were in the apartment.

  1. Judy---oh how totally cool! I hope this means that for the rest of eternity chocolate calories won't stick LOL! We've been in our house about 16 months now, and there are STILL some boxes that are mocking me...sigh!

Good luck with the settling in, enjoy the new digs, and when you're ready, can't WAIT to see pics of the loft. Oh...and to be able to just go cross town to a major museum like you can now...enjoy!

CONGRATS on your new home! Remember - don't unpack every single last box, or you'll have to move again - works for me!

  3. Hooray! Congratulations. What a wonderful new place. Please don't remind me of all the hassles. I am dreading going through a move in just a few months.

  4. Welcome back to cyberspace, and congratulations on your new home, I know it will take months for the dust to settle before you will be able to get into the studio, but you will.

I don't envy you the cold winters, but I would dearly love to live in Chicago. I think it would be so cool. Have a pizza and hit a blues club for me, 'kay?
