The Explainer in Chief
I am shocked and so sad that we have lost Tim Russert. Sunday mornings will never be the same. My ritual is to make a cup of tea, pull out the knitting while everyone else in the house is still asleep and watch Meet the Press.
This is such a huge loss for all of us who love political commentary, insight and analysis, great interviews with politicians asking the tough questions. This has been an especially exciting year in politics and Tim Russert has made it so much better, so clearly unbiased and intelligent he brought so much to political journalism. This is all so sad. He will be greatly missed.
sometimes we don't even realize the affection we can develop for these dear strangers, who become our friends through their roles in the media. i share your sorrow; i'm a political junkie too, and i loved tim russert. he was one of a kind in all the best ways, and i will miss his insight.
ReplyDeletenot much got past tim. this election year won't be the same without him.
Luanne says it so well. I was very sad to hear this news. Brian Williams' entire broadcast tonight was a fitting tribute.
ReplyDeleteSo sad. I can't imagine watching the upcoming election without him.
ReplyDeleteI still can't get it into my head that Tim Russert is gone. I, too, am a political junkie and his death has left a big hole for all of us who avidly watched and listened.
ReplyDeleteWhat an extraordinary man he was. He will be sorely mised especially this, of all, political seasons.
