The good and the bad

The good news is I have an 8 page artist profile in Quilting Arts magazine this month. I am thrilled to be featured in such a fabulous magazine.

The bad news is the day before I left for Chicago our house sale fell through. The people who bought it brought their teenage sons (17 and 19) to see the house and they didn't like it. So the couple removed their offer. If the kids held so much sway with the purchase, they should have shown it to them before making an offer! Ugh. So our house is back on the market. We did have a great time in Chicago though.

ARRGH! So frustrating - I've had that happen when selling ah osue too. ARRRRGH!

But WOW, I LOVE seeing you in Quilting Arts - the quilts look different when I can see them away from my computer screen!

  2. Actually the quilts are a bit more color saturated in the magazine than in real life. The grass on tree of life is almost day-glo. When it was printed in the book Contemporary Quilting by Cindy Walter it also came out intensely bright.

Hi Judy, congratulations on your article in the magazine. I wish I could have seen your quilts in person. I hope you keep us posted on any show you might do in Los Angeles in the future. Hope to see you at one of the parkdays, although Nadia has a class on Thursdays now. Oh well. Take care, Juanita
