Another Great Festival

George R Brown convention center, on the right

My week started by meeting several friends for dinner Monday night a few hours after I arrived and I knew then festival had officially begun.

I love the contrast of Alisa's dark hair with Lesley's beautiful white hair.

Tracie gave each of us a sachet filled with lavender, embellished with ribbons, lace and a hand painted cloth button.

They smelled so nice.

On Tuesday I taught Tsukineko Inks. It was a full class, in fact I had a 49 person waiting list!, so if you tried to get in and couldn't, I'm sorry, but the good news is, I will be teaching it again next year in Houston.

the following photos were taken in class by Indigo.

Just a little adjustment with color can make a flat image suddenly pop.

At noon I got a call from my friend Frieda Anderson, that it was time to break for lunch, so Laura Wasilowski, Frieda, Australian art quilter Lisa Walton (who was in my class) and I had lunch at a little restaurant in the park across from the convention center.
