Friend and fellow member of PAQA, Michelle Hardman went to Barack Obama's inauguration. Michelle worked tirelessly for the Obama campaign traveling to several states to get out the vote message. Michelle also organized getting art quilts hung in the Chicago Obama campaign office.
Michelle is wearing a scarf created especially for the events by Susan Shie.
You can read about Michelle's interesting experience meeting President Obama at the public greeting held at the White House in this Washington Post article.
What a great article! Sooo cool!
ReplyDeletehi Judy! thanks for the reply on my blog. I went to your other blog, Painted Threads Projects and spent my morning with a mug of warm tea and learned about "The making of Primordial Sea" -how incredibly beautiful. Your illustrative talents shine with each piece you touch! If I didn't already have a full production schedule of projects with metal and now clay mediums, I swear you could turn me to trying fiber arts!! Thanks again for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSoooo proud of Miss Hardman!! How incredible to meet the President and the First Lady, but more precious--her beautiful spirit and contributions to the process! Pam in Chico
