More Inspiration

I love lichen!
and beautiful colored bugs.
The wild rose hips by the beach were as red as tomatoes.

  1. June bugs really are quite lovely, but my mom cannot stand them. She has a vegetable garden, and they've been eating this year's squash! My dad and I have been taking pictures of them, though. We're both rather interested in them.

That last plant is interesting, I don't think I've ever heard of it!

Lastly, lichen is wondrous, I'm glad you enjoy it.

  2. Oh! I love lichen, too. Here in Ohio we have so much of it around. Much more than in KS where I grew up. Fairly regulary, I stop my 3-year old to show him some amazing lichen. Recently, the stuff on our fence post was blooming. Wow! Each post had a bit of a different color.

  3. Hey, Judy! Tonight I'm trying to learn something about Technorati, after looking at the new Artful Blogger Magazine. Weirdly, I found you on www.outrightplagiarism.blogspot.com

    What's up with that?!?!?!?!?

  5. Hey Vic, I don't know what that's about. I looked at the blog and found my whole blog posted there, along with several other blogs that were on the blogs of note. I am guessing the blog name refers to them posting other people blogs (taking their content?). Very strange.

If anyone knows more about this I would love to hear.

  8. Hi Judy! I'm new to blogging and really enjoyed yours. I'm from Kittery Pt., ME and graduated from Traip Academy there. Know any Blaney's there? I also love to knit. Your pictures are wonderful and I especially enjoyed Nubble Light!

  10. Hi! Love your site too. What have you done with the creata colors? hope I spelled that right. I bought some too and haven't done much with them yet. San antonio has had too much rain so I have been stuck inside rather than outside with my painting and dye stuff. Usually summer is a great time for me to do all this. It drys quick and i can spread out everything. I just started my own site on August 20 but the only thing I have on it are some altered pages.

I have not had a chance to play with the cretacolors yet. I am out of town and when I return i have a project with a deadline the second week of sept. After that I may get some time to play with them. They seem pretty versatile, I am looking forward to working with them.

I am not much of an altered art person. I think it is fun and play a bit with it when i am around my sister. That is her preferred art medium, I don't do too much on my own. Most of my work involves textiles, but I love to experiment in all mediums of art because I think everything you do creates new ideas to try with something else.

I went to Traip for one year before moving to Northern California in 1976. My sister went all four years I 'll ask her if she remembers any Blaney's.

Have fun on your road trip, It looks like a great adventure. If you drive through Chicago, honk as you go by, i live next to Harpo studios. ^_^
